"Director Roger Nygard managed to find the most obsessive fans out there, whose resolute devotion to recreating the show in their own lives is at first surprising, then amusing, then guffaw-inducing hilarious. ... The film tires to be comprehensive but the result is sometimes inconsistent.... If you consider yourself a fan, resistance is futile. You must see this movie. If you don't know a Romulan from a Vulcan, there's still plenty to laugh about, but parts of the movie--such as the debate over 'Trekkie' vs. 'Trekker' and who was the best captain--will quickly become trifling."
