The Terms Trekkie/Trekker/Trekite/Trekette, etc. are all nonsense. All they are, are Fans of Star Trek, according to their personality. Generally Trekker means Either you grew up watching TNG and/or you are..... how should I put this...nicely.... you go overboard(way overboard). Trekkie Generally means Either you Grew up watching TOS, you heard the term first, because Gene said it so you want to honor him, or if you are a what's called TRUE fan. You are sincere in terms of behavior and opinion. Trekette/Trekite, etc. are all just names that either were an attempt to get rid of the Trekker/Trekkie dispute, or to form their own group.
