Ladies and Gentlemen...
In a word: "BRILLIANT!" I haven't laughed that hard since... well, since the last time.
I just saw your film this evening at the AMC 14 in Burbank, CA and parts of me are still aching from laughing so hard!
As much as it embarrasses me to admit, I might call myself a Trekkie (more along the lines of Kate Mulgrew's definition in your film). As I look around my den here in my home, the only item connected to the Trek phenomenon is a hardcover copy of "I Am Spock" written by Leonard Nimoy which is staring down at me from a nearby bookshelf. Yes I enjoy the various TV show/s and yes I make the occasional trip to local science fiction conventions, but I have never donned a Klingon forehead nor a Starfleet uniform, and unless I someday find myself coerced into doing so while under the influence of some hearty brew, I will NEVER, EVER do so willingly! :)
Your film presented us with an unbiased view of life aboard the Starship Out-There, complete with costumed wonders, heart-warming anecdotes and a few potentially dangerous wanderers from the here-and-now we all call REALITY.
One other note, my appreciation and respect for Denise Crosby has just soared! What a trooper she is/was and all the best to her and her family.
Thank you for a truly wonderful film.
Sincerely,
S
